My dad was the "camera man" of our family! He was always documenting my sister + I and various family events. When I was about 7, my dad accepted a job in North Idaho! During our week long drive from the East Coast, my dad gave me about 10 disposable Kodak cameras. I still remember my excitement of seeing the prints after my film was developed! My dad and grandma would always say to me, "You have a real eye for photography! Maybe one day you will be a photographer!" As a child, I always thought that was silly and something that could never happen...

As I got older, my love for photographing every day moments only grew stronger and stronger. I still remember saving up my money to purchase my first camera from Costco. It was a Canon Rebel t3i and I was beyond excited to finally own a camera that allowed me to change out the lenses!! I used this camera for many years to document portrait sessions and weddings.

I have always  loved going through old photo prints with my family. I remember asking my mom one day to see images from their wedding day and sadly she was only able to find about 5. Her wedding dress was burned in a house fire and they kept nothing but one white napkin from their reception. As their daughter, I long to see pictures of their special day. I wanted to reminisce on such a special time in their young lives. 

This is my "why". I LOVE being able to provide couples with images they are able to cherish + share with their family for generations to come. Images that allow them to relive their special day over and over. I believe that a family is a legacy and that marriage is one of the most important decisions you will make!

This journey of mine started when I was about 7.
