Welcome to my small portion of the internet!
Fueled by equal parts sweet tea and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. Your story, your love, and this season of your life is beautiful!
My dad was the "camera man" of our family! He was always documenting my sister + I and various family events. When I was about 7, my dad accepted a job in North Idaho! During our week long drive from the East Coast, my dad gave me about 10 disposable Kodak cameras. I still remember my excitement of seeing the prints after my film was developed! My dad and grandma would always say to me, "You have a real eye for photography! Maybe one day you will be a photographer!" As a child, I always thought that was silly and something that could never happen...
As I got older, my love for photographing every day moments only grew stronger and stronger. I still remember saving up my money to purchase my first camera from Costco. It was a Canon Rebel t3i and I was beyond excited to finally own a camera that allowed me to change out the lenses!! I used this camera for many years to document portrait sessions and weddings.
I have always loved going through old photo prints with my family. I remember asking my mom one day to see images from their wedding day and sadly she was only able to find about 5. Her wedding dress was burned in a house fire and they kept nothing but one white napkin from their reception. As their daughter, I long to see pictures of their special day. I wanted to reminisce on such a special time in their young lives.
This is my "why". I LOVE being able to provide couples with images they are able to cherish + share with their family for generations to come. Images that allow them to relive their special day over and over. I believe that a family is a legacy and that marriage is one of the most important decisions you will make!
I have been blessed with generations of "til death due us part" marriages within our family. Both sets of my grandparents were married for 60+ years before their passings. My parents have been married for 43 years and have set a Godly example for my sister and I of what a true covenant marriage looks like.
A family is a legacy and my goal as a photographer is to capture moments in time that can be shared with families for generations to come. Images that can be shown to a couples children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc.
